This is a Kyō-yaki (Kyoto ware) flower vase handcrafted by Kiichi Kumamoto, a distinguished ceramic artist. Rendered in the traditional Mishima technique (Mishima-de Inkamon), this piece features delicately stamped floral motifs embedded in a refined white-gray glaze, expressing the subtle elegance unique to Kyoto ceramics.
The vase is signed by the artist (zainmei) and comes complete with its original signed wooden box (tomobako) and explanatory document. An excellent representation of Kyoto’s artistic heritage, it is well-suited for use in the tea ceremony, ikebana flower arrangement, or as a collector’s display piece.
