Kintsugi is a Japanese art that repairs broken pottery using lacquer mixed with gold by highlighting the cracks with gold, it transforms the pottery into unique, visually stunning pieces and symbolizes resilience and acceptance of change.

This beautiful handcrafted Japanese pottery bowl features a dynamic kiln glaze with earthy tones and striking brushwork. Traditionally used as a chawan (tea bowl), it showcases the wabi-sabi aesthetic with its natural texture and irregular glaze patterns.

The bowl comes in its original signed wooden box (tomobako), which includes a handwritten inscription commemorating a relocation event for the Kikkoman Okayama factory in 1992 (Heisei 4). This piece may have been a limited gift or commemorative item.
